The Alfred State volleyball team sent a large "Dig Pink" crowd home happy with a 25-19, 25-15, 25-20 victory over D'Youville on Thursday evening.  The Lady Pioneers are now 14-8 on the year.

Rebecca Hanrahan (Greene) led the way with nine kills and two blocks while Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) finished with 10 digs and eight kills.  Lera Braun (Waterloo) finished with 29 assists, eight digs, and three kills, Jess Ramsey (Tioga) had 19 digs, and Jessica Padley (Buffalo/Sweet Home) chipped in five kills.

The Lady Pioneers wore their pink jerseys and held numerous fundraisers to raise money for the Side-Out Foundation.  

Alfred State has nearly a week off before heading to Finger Lakes CC on Oct. 16 for a 6 p.m. contest with the Lady Lakers.
