Lewis comes to Alfred State College with a distinguished basketball coaching resume focused on player development and fostering a love for the game.
Most recently Lewis served as the Assistant Coach Hobart College for the last two seasons. During 2023-2024 season, he helped lead the team to a 22-5 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA tournament. Under the leadership of Coach Stefan Thompson, the team earned the title of Liberty League Champions and was named the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year.
Lewis also served as the varsity boys’ basketball coach at the School of the Arts in Rochester, New York. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach for the Bryant & Stratton College women’s basketball team. During the 2019-20 season, Bryant & Stratton advanced to the quarterfinals of the USCAA National Championship tournament, finishing the season with a 23-5 record thanks to a formidable defense that held opponents to under 50 points per game. The remainder of the tournament was canceled due to the pandemic
A Rochester native, Lewis spends his offseason hosting basketball clinics and tournaments in the Rochester area, dedicated to developing young talent and promoting the sport. Lewis's passion for the game and commitment to player growth continue to drive his success on and off the court.
