Nicholas Barrett returns to the Alfred State Wrestling staff this year for his second season as an Assistant Coach after a very successful career both academically and athletically as a student-athlete at Alfred State.

On the mats for the Pioneers Barrett earned many accolades including becoming a Individual AMCC Champion, being a part of two Team AMCC Championships, and winning an additional individual title at the Adrian Invite. His 63 career wins and 25 career pins both rank top 10 in program history. Off the mats Barrett was an NWCA Scholar All-American and was also a part of both of our Scholar All-American Team's that finished top 30 in the country. Additionally, Barrett was recognized by Alfred State with the Leadership Through Civic Engagement Award. 

Barrett has earned two associate degrees from Alfred State in Culinary Arts and Culinary Arts: Baking, Production & Management and also completed his bachelor degree in Technology Management in December of 2024. Barrett is working full time as a Social Welfare Examiner for the Steuben County Department of Social Services. Barrett resides in Avoca, NY.Â
