Elijah Moshenek has been added to the Alfred State Wrestling staff this year as the program’s new Head Assistant Wrestling Coach. Moshenek joins the coaching staff after wrapping up his competition career as one of the most decorated wrestlers in Alfred State program history.

During his four-year career for Alfred State Moshenek consistently racked up accolades both on and off the mats for the Pioneers. On the mats, Moshenek’s biggest accomplishment was sending Alfred State back to the NCAA DIII National Championships in 2025 by way of his 3rd place finish at the NCAA Region Championships. Moshenek also was a 3X All-Conference wrestler (first in program history), was a NY Collegiate State Championship Finalist and won individual titles at the Williams Open and Adrian Invitational. His 89 career wins ranks 3rd all-time in program history for Alfred State Wrestling. Off the mats Moshenek twice earned Academic All-District team honors from the College Sports Communicators, was a 2X NWCA Scholar All-American and was a key member on both of our Scholar All-American Team's that finished top 30 in the country.

Moshenek earned two associate degrees during his time as a student-athlete at Alfred State, earning degrees in both our Welding Technology and Automotive Service Technician programs. Moshenek works as a Welding Technician for Southern Tier Express Inc. in Andover. Elijah and his girlfriend Avery reside in Alfred.
