Benjamin Rivera has been added to the Alfred State Wrestling staff this year as a Volunteer Assistant Wrestling Coach. Rivera is an alum of the program and joins the staff after a successful four-year career as a student-athlete for Alfred State.
On the mats for the Pioneers Rivera racked up many accolades including earning NCAA All-Region honors, finishing in 8th place, and reaching a Conference Finals during the 2025 season. His 27 wins via pin ranks 6th all-time in program history for Alfred State Wrestling. Off the mats Rivera earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors during his career as well.
Rivera earned his associate degree in the field of Automotive Service Technician and is working full time as a Service Technician for Simmons-Rockwell Nissan of Hornell. Benjamin and his girlfriend Kaitlyn reside in Alfred.
