Biography

During his tenure as a student-athlete at Alfred State Ilges racked up many accolades both on and off the mats. As a four-year team member Ilges won 63 career matches and placed at countless tournaments including being a place winner at the NY Collegiate State Championships, being a 3X ECWC place winner (first in program history to accomplish), winning the John Summa Invitational and becoming one of the schools first ever individual AMCC Champions. Academically, Ilges earned ECWC All-Academic honors 4X and became the programs first ever 3X NWCA Scholar All-American.

Ilges is from nearby Canisteo and attended Canisteo-Greenwood High School. Ilges was a two sport athlete for the Redskins competing in both wrestling and football. In wrestling Blake was a Super Section Champion and competed at the New York State Championship tournament. On the gridiron Blake earned All-State honors as a Defensive Tackle.
