Tim Giagios

Tim Giagios enters his 5th year as the Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach. Giagios took over the program in January 2020, and quickly had to navigate the landscape that COVID created.

Since taking the helm, the Pioneer Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Programs have been the Runner-Up for 4 consecutive years at the AMCC Cross Country Championships. The Men’s & Women’s Team both have had 1 Individual AMCC Champion and multiple All-Conference selections. Giagios was named AMCC Men’s Coach of the Year in 2021.

The Track & Field Program has had a resurgence under Giagios’ leadership as well. The Women’s program won the 2021 CSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and have finished in the top 3 at the Indoor & Outdoor Championships every year. The Men’s program finished 2nd every year for Outdoor, and 3rd during their first season in the United East Indoor Track & Field Conference Championships. Giagios has been named Women’s Coach of the Year twice. Both programs have seen regional and national recognition, with the Men’s program having 2 athletes qualify for the NCAA Championships. The Men’s program had their first NCAA All-American in 2023 in the Discus. Giagios will lead the Track & Field Programs as they transition into the SUNYAC Conference.
