Alfred, NY - The Alfred State Pioneers saw 10 athletes honored on the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
The six on the women's side were:
Kari Annunziato (Greenwood Lake, NY, Warwick),
Allison Bateson (Syracuse, NY, Central Square),
Ella Fyock (Bliss, NY, Pioneer Senior),
Alaina Gernatt (Gowanda, NY, Gowanda), and
Karlee Hargather (Hilton, NY, Hilton) from Women's Lacrosse and
Emily Brown (East Greenbush, NY, Columbia) from Women's Wrestling.
The four on the men's side were:
Griffin Doan (Auburn, NY, Auburn),
Brady Nugent (Rochester, NY, Greece Athena), and
Joseph Tiberio (Rochester, NY, Webster Thomas) from Men's Lacrosse and
Chris Herriman Jr (Hyde Park, NY, Franklin D. Roosevelt) from Men's Wrestling.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
