Keuka Park, NY- The Alfred State Softball split the day in last double-header before playoffs against non-conference opponent, Keuka Wolves. The Pioneers head into post season with a 15-17 overall record.

Game one:

Marissa Ordway started in the circle for the Pioneers and was relieved by
Hannah Powers in the third. The pair recorded four strikeouts in game one.
Trinity Scott was the lone Pio who delivered two hits.

Keuka grabbed five runs in the first two innings, getting a solid jump on ASC. They were able to hold the Pioneers and close out game one after they added four more runs in the third and kept Alfred State from plating anyone.

Game two:

Powers continued her momentum into game two, starting on the mound and bringing home the win. Scott and
Hannah Keane both went 3-4 at the plate with an RBI each.
Abbie Millard recorded a double and a triple as well.

The Pioneers opened the first inning with a burst of momentum.
Emma Edwards found herself plated on a sharp single from
Nicole Youngberg, and moments later
Trinity Scott raced home on a wild pitch to make it 2–0. Alfred State kept the pressure on in the second as a pair of wild pitches allowed
Hannah Keane and
Hailey Lacko to advance and score, and Scott continued her strong day with a bunt single that brought in another run. Youngberg followed with her second RBI single of the afternoon, stretching the lead to 5–0.

The Wolves broke through in the fourth, trimming the deficit to 5-2 but ASC answered immediately. Keane ripped an RBI double, Edwards added another run-scoring single, and
Abbie Millard drew a bases-loaded walk. Youngberg then delivered a two-RBI single to center that pushed the lead to 10–2. Keuka tried to make a comeback as they earned two runs in the bottom half, but ASC was able to hold them back, securing the win 10-4.

The Pioneers now head into the AMCC Tournament as the #3 seed and are set to face the #6 seed, Mount Aloysius on the 6
th. First pitch is set to be thrown at 4 pm in DuBois, PA.
