Alfred, NY- This week's Pioneer Athletes of the Week are JJ Howard (Men's Track & Field) and Emily Richardson (Women's Track & Field).
 

In high jump at the Jim Taylor Duals (Susquehanna), JJ Howard (Wellsville, NY, Wellsville) secured first place with a best jump of 1.93 meters, qualifying him for the AARTFC's. Howard is now tied for nineth all-time in Alfred State history for high jump.
 

Emily Richardson (Hilton, NY, Hilton), most recently the first female track and field athlete in Alfred State history to qualify for NCAA Championships, took home first place in the high jump event at the In high jump at the Jim Taylor Duals (Susquehanna) with a best of 1.63 meters. With this score she set a new high jump record for Alfred State and qualified for the AARTFC's.
