ASC put themselves on the board first, earning seven runs in the first inning. Edwards was plated first on a throwing error, followed by a Abbie Millard single to left center to score two. Millard would then score on a grounder from Liana Dion. Harris continued the momentum, doubling to left center, slating two of her teammates. Lacko cranked a triple to score Harris to which Edwards singled to score Lacko, 7-0. La Roche chipped away in the second inning, scoring two runs. They continued to close the gap in the fourth, cutting the deficit to 7-5.

The Pios responded in a big way in the bottom of the fourth when Youngberg launched a three-run homer to center field, pushing the lead to 10-5. The Redhawks added two more runs in the fifth, making the score 10-7. ASC never backed down as Lacko brought in a run on a sac fly and Edwards added another RBI single to extend the lead 12-7.
