Cortland, NY- The Alfred State men's track and field team took home eighth place at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships.

Christian Wescott secured a second-place title in the 1500m final as he crossed the finish line in 4.03.85.

In the 4x100 final, a team of
Dean Brainard, Marco Quinteros,
Jordan White and
Aden Alexander placed seventh with a time of 43.47, qualifying them for the AARTFC's. In the 4x400, a team of
Nick Drabinski,
Ethan Hanford,
Mamadou Barry and Wescott also earned seventh with a time of 3:30.82.

Kyle Kapichok grabbed seventh place in the javelin throw with a best of 42.82 meters.

Talan Green finished in eighth place in the high jump final with a best jump of 1.85 meters.

In the discus throw final, Brandon Russell fell just short of qualifying but earned sixth place with a best throw of 43.99 meters.

In the triple jump final, Alexander notched seventh place with a best jump of 13.26 meters.
