The Pioneers hosted their senior night at Olean Recreation Center against Mercyhurst, with fans, friends, and family in attendance. Less than 5 minutes into the first period, Bryan Schuman (Buffalo, NY) put Alfred State on the board, assisted by Ryan Pozzi (Buffalo, NY) and Anthony Valentini (Rochester, NY), followed by Brendon O'Donnell (Eden, NY) with the Game Winning Goal. Nicholas Cash (Kenmore, NY) and Pozzi joined the offensive march in the first period, ending the period 4-0. Alfred State confidently held the lead in the second period, giving up one goal, making it 4-1. The boys in blue and gold took away any hope Mercyhurst had with their incredible defense and widened the gap in the third and final period. Schuman and Valentini scored in the last period, securing the Pioneers' victory, 6-1.
