Collegeville, PA- The Alfred State women's wrestling team had one place finisher in at the Will Abele Invite.
Dianna Pineda took fifth place in the 117 bracket. Pineda opened with a 10-0 major decision win over Sabina Alvarez-Prats (McDaniel). After suffering a loss, Pineda tallied back-to-back falls over Yenyia Terry (Elmira) and Melanie Val (Cedar Crest) to get to the fifth-place match. In that match, Pineda notched a 10-0 major decision win over Nuria Kojic (New Jersey City) to take fifth.
The Pioneers will be back on the road on February 1st in Frostburg, MD for the Bobcat Open.
