Washington, PA- The Alfred State men's wrestling team finished 5th of 40 at the Washington & Jefferson Invite. The Pioneers tallied seven top six finishes on the day.
Brent Perry and Owen Cumming were the highest place finishers, as they finished third in their respective bracket. In the 197 bracket, Perry opened with a 1:15 fall. After an injury forfeit win, Perry would suffer a loss before picking up a win in the third place match to take third place. In the 165 bracket, Cummings tallied a win followed by a first round fall in the next match. After suffering a loss in the quarter-finals, Cummings would pick up a win in the third place match.
Other place finishers we're: Elijah Moshenek (141) in fifth, Ryan Farley (125) in fifth, Aaron Johnson (285) in sixth, and Chris Herriman (184) in sixth.
