Altoona PA. – Alfred State men's soccer earns their third AMCC conference win over Penn State Altoona 2-0. The Pioneers move to 9-3 (3-0) on the season.
After a scoreless first half, the Pioneers came out and scored in the 47th minute with a goal by Liam Hyatt, his first on the season, assisted by Travis Scandalis. In the 74th minute, Henry Leahy took a shot on goal, the Altoona goalkeeper blocked it but Will Leahy followed through and netted a goal to give Alfred a 2-0 lead.
ASC had 25 shots on goal. Alexander Preston picked up his 7th win in the season with one save.
The Pioneers are back in action on October 9th at home when they take on Hilbert College at 6:30 pm.
