Pioneer Athletes Of The Week

Alfred, NY- This week's Pioneer Athletes of the Week are Henry Leahy (Men's Soccer) and Gabriella Thurmond (Volleyball).
 

Henry Leahy (Pittsford, NY, Pittsford Sutherland) lead the Pioneer offense this week as he netted three goals. In the game against Allegheny, Leahy found the back back of the net twice in the 4-2 win. He followed with another goal in a tie against SUNY Delhi.


Gabriella Thurmond (Ithaca, NY, Ithaca) helped lead the Pioneers to a 2-1 weekend. She tallied 82 assists, 11 aces, 20 digs, three kills, and two blocks. She opened the weekend with 24 assists, four aces, and eight digs against Penn College. Then against Lycoming, she tallied 37 assists, eight digs, six aces, and two blocks. She ended the weekend with a 21 assist and four dig game against Marywood.
