  • Eight Spring Pioneers Earn USCAA All-Academic Honors

    Eight Alfred State spring athletes have earned USCAA All-Academic team honors. Student-athletes earn All-Academic honors by being an upperclassmen who has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher over the course of their academic career.

    The NCAA DIII Membership Committee recently announced that Alfred State has satisfied the requirements of year two of the membership process and will move on to year three in 2016-17.
  • Kothor Finishes 3rd in Shot Put
    May 19, 2016
    Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) finished 3rd in the shot put as Alfred State wrapped up action at the 2016 ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Westfield (MA) State. The Lady Pioneers finished tied for 35th in the competition.
  • Kothor Breaks Own Record in Hammer Throw

    Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) broke her own school record in the hammer throw as she competed on day one of the 2016 ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

    The Alfred State women's track & field team finished 11th while the men's team finished 13th at the New York State Championships at RPI.
  • 4x800 Qualifies for ECAC's

    The Alfred State women's 4x800 relay team earned a spot in the ECAC Championships on Friday at day one New York State Championships.

    The Alfred State track and field team had a solid day at the USCAA Invitational held at SUNY Delhi on Saturday. The competition featured both a USCAA and NJCAA field.
  • Hawley, Teboe, and Fiore Finish Competition at NYS Multi

    Jake Hawley (Susquehanna), Brandon Teboe (Falconer), and Holly Fiore (Niagara Falls) wrapped up competition at the NYS Multi Championships. Hawley was 8th in the decathlon, Teboe was 9th, and Fiore was 13th in the heptathlon.

    A trio of Alfred State athletes competed in day one events at the New York State Championship multi on Sunday afternoon at St. Lawrence.
  • Track Performs Well at U of Rochester

    The Alfred State outdoor track and field team had another solid day at the University of Rochester Spring Invitational. The Pioneers won four individual titles on the day.
  • Pioneers Win 14 Events at Allegany County Classic

    The Alfred State track and field team won 14 events at the Allegany County Classic on Wednesday afternoon. The event hosted by Houghton also featured athletes from Alfred University.

    The Alfred State women's 4 x 800 relay traveled to the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic and ran the 3rd fastest time in school history.

  • Pioneer Men Win, Women 2nd at Alfred State Invitational

    The men's track and field team won the Alfred State Invitational while the women finished 2nd on Friday afternoon. The meet featured athletes from six colleges and was the final home meet for longtime Pioneer head coach Gary Moore.

    Twelve Alfred State winter athletes have earned USCAA National All-Academic Award honors. The Pioneers have now had 27 athletes during the 2015-16 school year honored by the USCAA.

    The Alfred State track & field team opened up the outdoor season with strong showing at the Juniata Invitational. Victoire Kothor (Greece Odyssey) was a triple-winner to lead the Pioneers.
  • Kothor Earns All-Region Honors

    Alfred State sophomore thrower Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) has earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors. Kothor is the first Pioneer to earn postseason honors from the USTFCCCA.
  • Kothor 2nd in Weight Throw, Krouse 3rd in Heptathlon

    Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) was 2nd in the weight throw while Richard Krouse (Eden) was 3rd in the heptathlon at the 2016 ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Lady Pioneers finished tied for 16th out of 50 teams while the men finished tied for 37th.
  • Kothor Wins ECAC Title

    Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) won the ECAC Championship in the shot put on Friday night. Kothor becomes the first Pioneer to win an ECAC individual title.
  • Kothor Wins Shot Put, Women finish 10th at NYS Championships

    Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) won the shot put at the NYS Championships and helped lead the Alfred State women's team to a 10th place finish. The 10th place finish is the best for the Lady Pioneers in the three years the team has competed at the NCAA DIII level.
  • Solid First Day for Indoor Track at NYS Championships

    The Alfred State indoor track and field team had a solid first day at the NYS Championships held at Ithaca College. The women's team is currently 7th (12 points) out of 12 teams while the men are 11th (1.5 points).
