    The Alfred State 4x100 relay team ran the 9th fastest time in school history to highlight day two of the ECAC Championships. The Pioneers were one of 83 teams competing at the annual event.

    Recently the Alfred State athletic department hosted their annual end of year awards ceremony. The ceremony held in the Cappadonia Auditorium featured recaps of every team, award presentations, and the honoring of the first group of four-year Pioneer student athletes.

    Angel Bresnahan (Mexico) and Victoire Kothor (Greece Odyssey) qualified for the ECAC Championships at the Roc City Classic hosted by Nazareth College. Bresnahan won the long jump while Kothor set a new school record in the hammer throw.

    The Alfred State track and field team won ten events as they competed in the cold and wind at the Houghton Invitational on Wednesday. The Pioneers competed vs. Houghton and Alfred University in the mid-week event.

    The Alfred State track and field team had a strong showing at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday. The men finished 10th with 24 points while the women were 11th with 14 points. 22 teams scored in the event.

    The Alfred State outdoor track and field team opened up the outdoor season with a 2nd place finish at the Roanoke (VA) Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The men scored 128 points while the women scored 88.
