After the Pioneers stranded two runners on in the 1st, Cazenovia scored eight runs to grab the lead. The Pioneers tried to claw back into the game with a pair of runs in the 2nd and another run in the 3rd. DeWilde had and Morgan Franklin (Wellsville) collected RBI singles in the 2nd and Shae Green (Hornell) registered a RBI single in the 3rd. The Pioneers left runners on base in the 4th and 5th innings and the Wildcats added two insurance runs in the 5th.

Franklin, Green, and Zoe Derr (Elmira Heights/Thomas Edison) all finished with two hits for the blue & gold. Betsy Butlak (Angola/Lake Shore) tossed 5.1 innings and allowed just one earned run.
