The Alfred State women's soccer team continued to roll as they downed Christendom (VA) 5-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Pioneers are now 3-0 on the year and have outscored their opponents 18-1.
Dannielle O'Buckley (Queens/Ansbach) got the blue & gold on the board just 52 seconds into the game when she found the corner of the net. Six minutes later, Michayla Salatel (Geneseo) got a long cross from O'Buckley and flicked it into the net. Brooke Geibel (Arkport) made it 3-0 just under ten minutes later on a break-a-way after getting a long lead pass from Salatel.
Julia Yanarella (Roy Ketcham) found the top corner in the 75th minute after getting a pass from Jocely Brittingham (Hornell). Chole Cox (Tuscon, AZ) capped the scoring in the 84th minute when she drilled a direct kick from over 40-yards away to cap the scoring.
The Lady Pioneers outshot Christendom 22-2 on the day. Allison Danielak (Brockport) made one save to record her second shutout of the season.
Alfred State is right back in action on Sunday when they host Pitt-Bradford at 3 p.m.
