Catherine Bialecki (Alfred Almond) has been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Player of the Week. Bialecki had three double-doubles this past week for the Pioneers as the team went 2-2.
Bialecki started the week with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks in a 63-59 victory over Wells. The next night she had 18 points, 13 boards, and seven blocks in a 62-56 loss to Buffalo State. On Friday in a 71-47 loss to Houghton, she scored 14 and nine boards, and then scored 28 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and blocked seven shots on Sunday in a 88-63 win over Central Penn. For the week she averaged 22.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks.
For the year she is averaging 20 points per game, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.1 blocks per game.
The Pioneers conclude the 2017 portion of the season with a pair of games. They host Fredonia tonight (12/5) at 5:30 p.m. and then take on Carlow on Friday (12/8) at 7 p.m.
