Jacob Wadsworth (Dansville) won a pair of events while Collin Stauffer (LeRoy) won an event as Alfred State competed at the annual Allegany County Classic as the Pioneers competed vs. Alfred University, Daemen, and Houghton.
Penn State Behrend was the top pick of the coaches in the 2019 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released by the conference office on Friday morning. The Lions, who have won all three CSAC championships, received 24 points and four first-place votes in the women’s poll, while scoring 15 points and three first-place votes in the men’s voting.
Paul Kemsley (Lancaster) and Jacob Wadsworth (Dansville) have earned All-Mideast honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following solid indoor seasons for Alfred State.
The Alfred State indoor track & field team had an impressive performance at the 2019 ECAC Championships held at the Armory in New York City. The Pioneer women finished 4th out of 25 teams while the men finished 5th out of 26 teams.

A contingent of Alfred State track and field athletes traveled to Boston University to compete in the prestigious David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The Pioneers competed versus NCAA DI, DII, and DIII athletes.
