Another Strong Day for ASC

Off the blocks

The Alfred State men's swimming & diving team continued a strong showing at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational. The Pioneers have scored 301 points through two days of competition.

Tim Olin (Perry) was 4th in the 100 back (55.95) to lead the individual performances. Ethan Dale (Lock Haven) was 5th in the 400 IM (4:22.33) and 7th in the 100 breast (1:01.91).

Ryan McDowell (Gananda) was 5th in the 100 fly (57.04) and Nate Miller (Gananda) was 7th (57.63). On the diving board, Austin Miller (Hornell) was 5th in the 3m competition with 353.45 points.

The 200 free relay team of Ryan Brophy (Midlakes), Miller, Olin, and Austin Eckrich (Churchville Chili) finished 5th in 1:34.02.

The final day of the Fredonia Invitational starts at 10 a.m. and concludes with the finals at 5 p.m.
