  • Eight Spring Pioneers Earn USCAA All-Academic Honors

    Eight Alfred State spring athletes have earned USCAA All-Academic team honors. Student-athletes earn All-Academic honors by being an upperclassmen who has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher over the course of their academic career.
  • Lacrosse, Swimming & Diving, and Baseball to Join AMCC
    June 27, 2016
    The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) recently accepted Alfred State as an affiliate member in men's lacrosse, men's and women's swimming & diving, and baseball. The Pioneers will begin play in men's lacrosse and swimming & diving in 2016-17 and in baseball in 2017-18.
  • Alfred State Moves to Year Three of NCAA DIII Process

    The NCAA DIII Membership Committee recently announced that Alfred State has satisfied the requirements of year two of the membership process and will move on to year three in 2016-17.

    The Alfred State lacrosse team closed out the 2016 season with a decisive 18-10 victory over Medaille.
  • Buck and Odonoghue Add More Honors

    Alfred State lacrosse player Aaron Buck (Churchville) and baseball player Conner Odonoghue (Avon) both picked up another honor following solid performances last week. Buck was named the ECAC Metro/Upstate offensive player of the week while Odonoghue was named the USCAA pitcher of the week.

    Alfred State fell just short in a hard fought 13-10 contest vs. SUNY Canton in the championship game of the USCAA Classic. The Kangaroos outscored the Pioneers 5-1 in the deciding 3rd quarter.
  • Pioneers Roll Past Dallas
    April 23, 2016
    The Alfred State lacrosse team rolled past the University of Dallas 17-1 on Saturday afternoon at SUNY Canton. The Pioneers advance to the championship game of the USCAA Classic on Sunday.

    Aaron Buck (Churchville) recorded six points as the Alfred State lacrosse team fell 17-10 at SUNY Canton on Saturday afternoon. The Kangaroos used a 7-1 advantage in the 2nd quarter to take control of the contest.
  • Big Runs Lift Hilbert

    Hilbert used a 6-0 run in the 2nd quarter and then outscored Alfred State 7-0 in the 2nd half as the Hawks defeated the Pioneers 21-8 on Wednesday evening.

    Aaron Buck (Churchville) scored 24 seconds into overtime to lift Alfred State to a 10-9 victory over Franciscan University on Saturday afternoon.

    The Alfred State lacrosse team was tripped up 15-4 at Elmira on Saturday afternoon. The Soaring Eagles are now 4-3 on the season.
  • Brockport Surges Past Pioneers

    Brockport won their seventh straight 21-2 over Alfred State on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 7-1 on the year.
  • Five Pioneers Score in Loss at Bryn Athyn

    Five different Pioneers scored as the Alfred State lacrosse team fell 18-5 at Bryn Athyn on Saturday afternoon. The contest wrapped up the Pioneers four game road trip.

    Cazenovia scored twelve of the games first thirteen goals as they defeated Alfred State 20-6 in the Wildcats 2016 home opener. Cazenovia has won two straight and is 2-3 on the year.

    Methodist took an early lead and never looked back as they defeated Alfred State 20-5 on Wednesday afternoon. The Monarchs (4-5) jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the 1st quarter and held the Pioneers to just 14 shots on the day.

    The Alfred State lacrosse team outscored Houghton 7-2 in the final 23 minutes of the game to rally for a 15-13 victory on Wednesday afternoon. The Pioneers even up their record at 2-2 with their second straight win.

    The Alfred State lacrosse team scored the first six goals and never looked back in a 17-9 victory over SUNY Delhi on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers won 67% of the face-offs and held a 66 to 39 shot advantage.

    A new era of Alfred State lacrosse debuts on Saturday when the Pioneers host Keuka College at 1 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium. The contest is the first under new head coach Jonathan Hoover.
