Junior catcher Lura O'Keefe (Allegany Limestone), sophomore pitcher Conner Odonoghue, and sophomore attackmen Aaron Buck (Churchville) have been named the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint athletes of the week.
O'Keefe hit .389 (7 for 18) in eight games for the Lady Pioneers last week. She collected one double, three triples, and nine RBI. She had a .778 slugging percentage and a .421 on-base percentage. On the year she is hitting .318 with a team best 29 RBI.
Odonoghue was 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA in 13.2 innings this past week. He allowed just eight hits and three earned runs while walking one and striking out 11. In his start vs. Maine Presque Isle he took a no-hitter into the 7th inning. He finished the game with a one-hit shutout. On the year he is 2-3 with a 4.36 ERA in 43.1 innings of work.
Buck had a monster weekend at the USCAA Tournament. He set a new NCAA era single game record with 15 points in the Pioneers 17-1 victory over Dallas. He finished the day with five goals and 10 assists. In the championship game, a hard fought 13-10 loss to Canton, he scored four goals and had three assists. On the year he has 36 goals and 30 assists.
